St. Xavier’s Alumni Association organized an Inter-House Quiz Competition for High School Students and Sit-n-Draw painting Competition for Primary Students on Saturday, 9 September 2023. Around 400 primary students participated in the Sit-n-Draw Painting Competition held in two groups – Class I & II in one group and Class III, IV & V in another group. In the both the groups, One Gold Medal, One Silver Medal and Three Bronze Medals were awarded.

The Judge for the event was also an alumnus of 1990 Batch – Shri Ashish Asthana, Visiting Faculty at NIFT, Patna and Dr. Ajay Pandey, Principal, College of Arts & Craft, Patna University.

For the Inter-House Quiz Competition, a screening written test was held on 26-08-2023 to select three members of all the four houses viz Panthers, Tigers, Lions & Leopards. Around 750 high school students participated in the screening test. The finals held on 09-09-2023 was very interesting, exciting and nerve-wracking.

The Panthers team was leading with a healthy margin till the eight round. However, in the last two rounds, the Tigers team came from behind and emerged as the Winners with the Panthers team finishing as Runners-up. The Quiz Master was Neel Mani Rangesh, the President of JAAI, who arranged a very informative session for the participants and audience which included students of Class IX, Principal, Vice-Principals, Coordinators, Teachers and SXAA EC office bearers.

The audience was also very good as they answered almost all the questions which could not be answered by any of the teams

The trophies, medals & certificates were presented to winners by the Chief Guest Dr. Ajay Pandey, Principal Rev. Fr. K. P. Dominic, SJ and President Mr. Mohit Ahluwalia. SXAA Patna acknowledge with gratitude the immense support from School Management, Primary & High School Coordinators Mr. Amar Sir & Ms Kumud Henry Ma’m and all the other teachers and support staff in successful organization of the event.
