St.Xavier’s Alumni Association (SXAA), Patna organized the first Patna Jesuit Province Alumni Swimming Competition 2024 for alumni of all Jesuit Institutions under Patna Jesuit Province on Sunday, 18 August 2024 at St. Xavier’s High School, Patna. About 50 alumni from different schools participated in this unique swimming competition and more than 100 alumni encouraged and cheered up the participants.

This competition was organized in four age groups – (a) 18 to 29 years (b) 30 to 44 years (c) 45 to 54 years, and (d) 55 years and above. A total of 16 events comprising of 25m & 50m freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke were held.

During the event, the enthusiasm and excitement of the former students seemed as if they had come back to their school life and were participating in the competition with full enthusiasm and competitiveness.

On this occasion, Province Coordinator for Alumni, Father Peter Arockiasamy SJ, Rector of St. Xavier’s High School, Father Daniel Raj SJ and Principal Father KP Dominic SJ were also present and encouraged the participants. The President of SXAA, Patna Mr. Mohit Ahluwalia, Secretary of SXAA, Patna Mr. Abhay Kanodia, The President of Jesuit Alumni Association of India, Mr. Neel Mani Rangesh, President of St. Michael’s Alumni Association, Mr. Vivek Kumar Sinha and other office bearers of St. Xavier’s Alumni Association & St. Michael’s Alumni Association were also present on the occasion.

Prizes were distributed at the end of the cojmpetition. In the age group of 55 years and above, Mr. Mohit Ahluwalia, President of St. Xavier’s Alumni Association, Patna, won the gold medal (first prize) in all three events. Maximum alumni participated in the age group of 45 to 54 years and made the swimming competition very exciting and challenging. In this age group, Mr. Praveen Chandra won two gold medals while Mr. Randhir Kumar and Mr. Vikas Kumar won one gold medal each.

Shri Satyajit Krishna won gold medal in all four events in the age group of 30 to 44 years. In the age group of 18 to 29 years, Mr. Harsh Raj won four gold medals and Mr. Aniket Kumar got one gold medal. All the winners were awarded a medal and certificate.
