The Paulites of Belgaum Worldwide (PBW), inspired by St. Paul’s values of “Men for Others,” recently demonstrated their commitment to service by supporting aspirants of the Territorial Army recruitment drive in Belagavi.

These aspirants, who traveled from all over India, came from economically weaker backgrounds, yet they arrived in Belgaum with hopes of serving our nation as soldiers. In response, the Paulites extended extraordinary compassion. PBW volunteers began distributing free meals the night before the recruitment began, initially serving over 800 meals.

By the next day, more than 2,500 aspirants were provided with nourishing pulao. Seeing a few left without food inspired the alumni to take further action, ensuring no one went hungry. A call for donations received overwhelming support, resulting in over 10,000 plates of food being served in the following days.

Alongside meals, blankets and bedsheets were distributed, providing comfort and dignity to those sleeping on the ground. Many aspirants expressed deep gratitude, sharing that they had never experienced such generosity.

The Paulites’ efforts not only met immediate needs but also stood as a symbol of solidarity with the future soldiers of our nation. The alumni’s unity with these brave individuals was evident, reflecting their support for the country’s protectors at all times.

Special thanks are due to the dedicated volunteers who organized this initiative within hours. As the effort wrapped up, sufficient funds allowed for additional meals, surpassing expectations. This initiative not only fed bodies but uplifted spirits, reinforcing the Paulites’ unwavering commitment to both service and the soldier of tomorrow
