Rev. Dr. Fr. Ranjit Tigga SJ was very kind to invite your JAAI President to spend a full day with the Xavier Institute Alumni Association Jabalpur, the alumni/ae body of Xavier Institute of Development Action and Studies (XIDAS), a premier Jesuit Management and Social Development Institute. It was the Alumni/ae Day of the Institute on 2nd December and I was their Chief Guest and Main Speaker. All Alumni/ae, all existing students of the Institution and all the pass-outs of Sessions 2015-17 and 2016-18 were in audience.

Scope and extent of Alumni Services, National and Global Networking, and Leadership Opportunities with JAAI and WUJA were discussed at length. JAAI President presented JAAI Lapel Pins to their Director, Alumni Leaders, Alumni Mentor and Dean of Students, as a token of honour and as an indication of welcome to join hands with JAAI.

The afternoon of 2nd December was dedicated to Alumni Association Strengthening with a target of making a Vibrant and happening Alumni Association (with maximum possible membership from within the 812 Alumnus so far) by Academic Year 2020, the Silver Jubilee Year of the Institution.

3rd December morning was dedicated to memories of the Founder Jesuit Rev. Fr. Van den Bogaert SJ from Belgium, who was also the Founder of XISS Ranchi. Fr. Dr. Alexius Ekka SJ, Director of XISS Ranchi was the Key Speaker.

Convocation Ceremony with Provincial of MP & Chhatisgarh Jesuit Province Rev. Fr. Kalyanus Minj SJ as Chairman, Fr. Dr. Alexius Ekka SJ as Chief Guest and Dr. Devendra Singh, President JAAI as the Guest of Honour was held at their Loyola Auditorium from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm. All esteemed guests with the Director of XIDAS Rev. Fr. Dr. Ranjit Tigga SJ distributed the PG Management and PG RD Diplomas and various excellence awards to the pass-outs of 2015-17 and 2016-18 Batches.

XIDAS, on 04.12.2018, has formally applied with requisite fees for membership of JAAI. Welcome, XIDAS, to our huge and ever-expanding family !
