The Sahibganj Old Xaverians Association (SOXA) and St. Xavier’s School Raiganj, which is a well-known institution belonging to the Dumka Raiganj Province of the Society of Jesus, have collaborated to form an alumni association in Raiganj. The main goal of this partnership is to establish a network of alumni who can support the school’s growth, serve humanity, and provide assistance for its students’ future endeavors.

During a recent visit to St. Xavier’s School Raiganj with PCA Rev. Fr. Alban Minj SJ, the importance of establishing an alumni association was emphasized. SOXA members have generously offered to provide guidance and support in creating the association, drawing on their experience in forming and managing their own association. SOXA members will assist the school and its alumni in organizing alumni events.

Rev. Fr. Alban Minj SJ expressed gratitude and stated that the formation of the alumni association would have a positive impact on the school and its students. He emphasized that the collaboration between SOXA and St. Xavier’s School Raiganj will offer several benefits, such as greater alumni participation, enhanced networking opportunities for students, and stronger connections between alumni and the school.

Furthermore, Rev. Fr. Damian Tudu SJ, the Principal of St. Xavier’s School Raiganj, expressed his support for the alumni association and its potential to benefit society. This year also marks the silver jubilee of the school, which adds to the significance of establishing an alumni association.

SOXA and St. Xavier’s School Raiganj are committed to ensuring the success of the alumni association and creating a platform for alumni to remain connected to their alma mater.
