To commemorate the esteemed Founder Principal, Rev. Fr. Roland Ghrilando SJ, the Sahibganj Old Xaverians Association organized a successful blood donation camp on May 17, 2023, coinciding with his birth anniversary. This gathering witnessed an inspiring number of dedicated participants who generously donated blood, exemplifying the virtues of selflessness and compassion, which are essential for saving lives.

The primary objective of the blood donation camp was to pay homage to the lasting legacy of Rev. Fr. Roland Ghrilando SJ, whose unwavering dedication and visionary leadership continue to inspire the school community. This gathering served as a tribute to his invaluable contributions while emphasizing the importance of extending support to those in need.

We were honored to have Dr. Ramdev Paswan, Civil Surgeon, grace the occasion as the Chief Guest, offering invaluable support and encouragement. Dr. Devesh Kumar, esteemed Guest of Honour, and Dr. Mukesh

Kumar, a Distinguished Guest, also attended the event, underscoring the significance of community healthcare initiatives. Dr. Mukesh Kumar’s words of encouragement resonated positively with the donors, alumni members, teachers, and students present.

The success of this blood donation camp was made possible by the generous contributions of our life members, teachers, alumni, and numerous individuals from our community. Their selfless act of donating blood will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the lives of those in need, reaffirming the compassion and solidarity within our community.

Furthermore, SOXA also coordinates donors on a case-by-case basis when there is a specific need at the hospital.

This blood donation camp stands as a testament to the unity and compassion upheld by our school community. We remain steadfast in our commitment to carry forward the legacy of Rev. Fr. Roland Ghrilando SJ by organizing further initiatives that contribute to the welfare of society.
