RANCHI, 29th June — In a major initiative to equip young citizens with vital emergency response capabilities, the Jesuit Alumni Association of India – Central Zone (JAAI-CZ) and the Jesuit Alumni Association of Ranchi Province (JARP) successfully organized a comprehensive CPR Awareness & Life-Saving Skills Workshop at St. John’s School, Ranchi.

The event was conducted in collaboration with HDFC Bank and Bhagwan Mahavir Manipal Hospital, providing expert-led training to 200 enthusiastic students.

The primary objective of the workshop was to create widespread awareness about critical cardiovascular emergencies and to empower the younger generation with the necessary tools to handle sudden medical crises effectively.

The workshop featured intensive, hands-on training sessions focused on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques. Medical experts from Bhagwan Mahavir Manipal Hospital demonstrated real-time, life-saving protocols and guided the students through the exact physical procedures required during sudden cardiac arrests.

Beyond providing medical training, the collaborative event also significantly strengthened HDFC Bank’s ongoing community outreach, showcasing the powerful impact of partnering with healthcare professionals to promote public health, safety compliance, and proactive emergency education among local youth.

The event was conducted in the distinguished presence of key leadership figures, including Mr. Jasbir Khurana, Chairman of JAAI Central Zone, and Mr. Himalay, Vice Chairman of JARP. They were joined by HDFC Regional Head Sri Kumar Abhishek, Sri Simant Gaurav, and the School Vice Principal, Father Libin Kerketta S.J, Vice-Principal

The flawless logistical execution of the training was made possible through the unwavering support, coordination, and blessings of the Province Alumni Coordinator and School Principal, Father Ignatius Lakra, S.J., whose leadership ensured a seamless learning experience for all 200 participants.
