On 10th October 2025, the North Bengal Chapter of St. Xavier’s College (Calcutta) Alumni Association (SXCCAA) organised a relief drive for families displaced by the recent floods in North Bengal, under the guidance of Rev. Dr. Dominic Savio, SJ, Principal of St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata, President – SXCCAA and Secretary – JHEASA.

Essential relief materials — including food items, medicines, clothing, umbrellas, blankets, tarpaulins and hygiene kits — were distributed at the Dudhey relief camp, with additional supplies reaching families from a remote village near Mirik, where connectivity remains disrupted. The Chapter also plans to extend relief efforts to the Sukiapokri belt in the coming days.

This humanitarian outreach reflects the true Xaverian spirit of compassion and service, as our alumni stand in solidarity with those affected, bringing hope and help where it’s needed most.
