The first part of Vocational Guidance commenced in 28 July 2019. The second part will be sometime in August or September. During October and November she will have them corrected, analysed and individual notes written up for each student. Then the third part (1-on-1 counselling) happens over Dec/ Jan. So it’s a full year’s project for us, requiring coordination and follow-ups, all the way between, her, the school admin the students/parents. 

Holy Family Ex-students Association (HyFyXS) has been collaborating with Ms Shailaja Mulay for over 15 years and before that the PTA. She is one of the few who are formally qualified in Vocational Guidance (VG) with a proper program certification from Mumbai University. The VG programmed had 3 parts, on 28th as the lecture, in which she addresses the students and the parents. She opens the mind to options hitherto not understood by them. Students then open up and ask questions on how to be an RJ /IAS officer, a NASA scientist etc. She being a walking-talking Thesaurus on VG, gives them a detailed step-by-step guidance.

The 2nd part is the Aptitude Test – about 2 to 3 hours conducted during the school time. The 3rd part is after analysis of the test. The outcome and the way-forward is explained in a 1-on-1
