Today I spent the day with more than 200 Alumni of St. Ignatius High School, Gumla, Ranchi Province; about 110 Kilometers off Ranchi.

This school attained its present shape in 1934, and the present HeadMaster is Rev. Fr. Manohar Kumar Khoya SJ. This school is known for their breeding of world class Hockey Players, our national sport. At any point of time, our National Hockey Team at all levels has members from this school. 

A full 2.5 hour motivation session was taken by me and Er. Shivendra Mohan Sharma, President, JAAI Central Zone. 

By the end of the interactive session, the House was fully charged to launch its ad-hoc inaugural Alumni Association Managing Committee, which was elected unanimously. 

In natural progression, this Alumni Association shall align with JAAI. The first step in this direction shall be their participation in the forthcoming JAAI Central Zone Congress at Bokaro on 11th August 2019, hosted by Bokaro Old Xaverians’ Association (BOXA). 

We wish them a great progression. May we all work together for national and global good !
