Loyola School and Loyola Alumni Association today felicitated its distinguished alumna Ms. Shilpa Rao, the renowned Bollywood singer and recipient of the National Award for Best Female Playback Singer, at the Fasy Auditorium, Loyola School.

Mr. Rajiv Talwar, Senior Vice President of Loyola Alumni Association, welcomed her with a bouquet and presented the LAA badge. She was further honoured with a shawl by Fr. Pius Fernandes, former Principal; a plaque by Fr. Vinod Fernandes, Principal and President of LAA* and a token of appreciation by *Fr. Victor Misquith, former Principal.

The joyous occasion was graced by Shilpa’s husband Ritesh and her proud parents.

Shilpa enthralled the audience with a few songs, including “Chelya”, her National Award-winning number. She also engaged in an interactive session with the students, answering their questions and inspiring them to pursue their dreams and passions.
