The Old Xavierites’ Association (TOXA) of St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad hosted one of the biggest and grandest Garba events in Ahmedabad. The Garba event was organized on October 5 & 6, 2024. The event attracted a remarkable footfall of 6,000 attendees each day. Several prominent personalities graced the event, including:

Mr. Safin Hasan, IPS – DCP Traffic, East Zone, and India’s youngest IPS officer
Mr. Yuvrajsinh Gohil – ACP and an alumnus of the college
Ms. Devanshi Joshi – Founder of Jamavat Media
Ms. Falguni Vasavda – Professor at MICA and a well-known influencer

The event saw participation from renowned industrialists, journalists, police officials, and executives from companies like WalkbuckRidy, Shelby Hospitals, and Poojara Telecom.
The Garba was a huge success, with active participation from students, staff, alumni, and the larger Xavier Parivaar.

Despite zero marketing spend—no hoardings, newspaper ads, radio, or TV ads—the entire cricket ground was filled to capacity. This reflects the strong resonance people have with the legacy of Xavier’s Garba, which returned after 11 years in 2023. This was only the second edition since its revival, and the brand continues to grow in tradition and legacy.
