A. Netmetering took time to get operational and still issues persist with Torrent. This is dependent on existing policies and skill of vendor and enery supplier too B. A key parameter for Output efficiency is cleaning the solar panels regularly. Else efficiency can degrade quickly by as much as 50%. Remarks: A. 60kW on terrace, 15kW on hostel terrace 5kW (offgrid) for water pump to lift water to top of building B. Gifted by Mr Pandian (IAS, Govt of Gujarat). C. For first two years, about 300kW was being generated daily but it has come down. D. Despite all our efforts, Torrent has not given the net metering, stating that we installed the solar panels, before the policy announced by the GoG. Whatever electricity we generate during holidays, summer, etc., goes to Torrent, but not credited to us! |
