To mark the 75 years of our country's Independence, Prof Edmund Frank donated 100 chairs to the Mangalore District Prison Superintendent in phase one to equip a hundred seater study hall inside the prison to assist school and college drop outs to pursue their studies and also to train prisoners in self employment trades to help in their rehabilitation after their release.

The 16th JAAI - South Zone Jesuit Alumni Congress was held at St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru in Karnataka from 27-28 May 2022.The theme ‘Accompanying Youth in the Creation of a Hope Filled Future'. Organisers, speakers and delegates from five provinces came together in exploring different aspects to echo the Motto of the Jesuit Alumni Association of India (JAAI), that is ‘To give and not to count the cost’.
The inauguration ceremony was highlighted by release of the book on 'St Ignatius of Loyola cannon Balled to Sainthood' marking the Ignatian Year authored by Prof. Edmund Frank.
The registration counters opened at Gelge Hall by 1.30 PM on 27th of May 2022. There was an overwhelming response from five
provinces – Karnataka, Kerala, Madurai, Chennai, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Twenty five Jesuit Priests among 168 delegates participated in this event.
While celebrating 50 years of graduating from St. Aloysius College Mangaluru, alumni from the Golden Batch 1971 raised Rs 1.71 cr towards creating an Advanced Instrumentation Center in the College to help in Research studies. This Advanced Instrumentation Center will aid both staff and students in research activities at St. Aloysius College Mangaluru
The Eminent Aloysian Awards is considered as one of the most prestigious award programs of the institution. It is held once in two years and is a joint effort by St Aloysius College Management and SACAA. Started in the year 2008, to recognize the Alumnus who have excelled in their career or business, are a role model to the society and younger generation, and have rendered support to the Alma Mater
St Aloysius College Alumni Association organized cricket and throwball tournaments for its alumni on Sunday 5th December 2021 on the college campus grounds. Six teams participated in cricket and Four teams participated in throw ball tournaments
Covid Care Centre for Police Personnel was inaugurated at St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangalore on 14th May 2020. Deputy Commissioner of DK, Sri KV Rajendra inaugurated the centre. Police Commissioner and officials of Police Dept and Health dept were present during the program.

It is always satisfying to help the needy during their difficult times.
Inaugural of COVID CARE CENTER AND ISOLATION CENTRE took place on 19 May 2021 at 9.30 am. We have set up CCC in collaboration with NGOs, alumni and other donors. This facility is only meant for the poor from slums and migrants. Fr Swebert, rector inaugurated the centre by lighting the lamp. This is one of the initiative under BJES.
