The Camp is an Annual Event of DOX, which targets services to the Outreach Students of the School (Approximately 600 children from 5 locations, including the Main Campus of the School), their parents, family members and neighbours. The objective of the camp is to create awareness on Sanitation, Cleanliness and Health.

Certain clearly defined objectives need to be achieved, including De-worming of all footfalls, Oral & Dental Hygiene of all footfalls, Anemia Check-up of all females above 12 years of age and treatment thereof, Identification of Mal-Nourished Children, Adolescents and Adults, Identification of need for Vision Correction and Night Blindness, Chronic Reversible Illnesses, etc.

The event was a grand success. About 750 slum dwellers, Outreach Education children, and parents of outreach children were transported to the School by School Buses at pre-designated intervals from 7 (seven) slums, semi-urban and rural locations. This is done in order to ensure enough time and attention to every single footfall from all possible faculties of medicine and surgery.

All patients were given free medicines and spectacles (sponsored by DOX Dr. Devendra Singh and his partner Birendra Kumar Singh). About 200 spectacles (distant vision, near vision and bifocal) were distributed on-the-spot. Two Computerized Autorefractometry Stations  (Grand Seico and Nidek) were installed for vision correction assessment. More than 400 patients were examined for eye care. A few Mature Cataract cases were identified and referred for surgery.

All women and all girls above 12 were examined for anemia and adolescent anemia. Anemics were given Iron & Folic Acid and Multivitamin tablets for one month.

All the footfalls were administered Chewable Deworming Tablets (Albendazole) on-the-spot at the time of registration.

About 100 diabetes detection cases were referred by Doctors for Spot Glucometry. 15 diabetics were identified and given specialized consultation with medicines for 15 days.

DOX Navin Modi arranged for on the spot X-Ray, Pathology and ECG with the services of a Doctor, Paramedic Staff, Semi-Auto Analyzer, X-Ray Machine and Reagents & Consumables. .

About 60 volunteers including 20 DOX members and 20 Novices (Trainee Jesuit Brothers), 8 Trainees from Xavier Institute of Social Service, 6 Outreach Teachers put in a full day of great work for the community. Four DOX wives too helped.

The whole Camp was a truly commendable example of team-work. Reverend Father Marianus Kujur S.J., the Provincial of the Ranchi Jesuit Province was present at the Camp. He blessed the Doctors and Volunteers. He also prayed for the health of the patients
