Magical moments from the St.Xavier’s High School Loyola Hall & Ellisbridge Gymkhana garba, Sunday 15th October on the heels of a famous INDIA win vs Pak in the ICC, a night earlier.

A crowd of over 8000 ‘kheylaiyas’ comprising of students and staff, management, alumni, benefactors and parents enjoyed the revelry. The evening started off with rhe class competition followed by the AARTI invoking and seeking blessings of Mataji. Was indeed a blissful and fulfilling evening which went on till midnight. Prizes in various categories were given away.

An evening to remember, and an apt way to begin the festival of nine nights, leading towards the good conquering the evil #jaiAmbe

A real tribute to a cricket legend must have a sound of 'thud' when the bat meets the ball, shouts of 'howzzthat' , all on the well laid green field. That's exactly what our old chaps did on the field. Our very own Kohlis and Jadejas worked hard to surpass the score.

On October 6, 2023, the Raiganj Old Xaverians Association (ROXA) played a pivotal role in ensuring water facilities at two specific locations during the Inter House Marathon '2023, an intra-school event hosted by St. Xavier's School, Raiganj.

The primary objective of this event was to encourage physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among the school's students. It encompassed various categories and distances, with students from different houses engaging in friendly competition.

ROXA, serving as the school's alumni association, actively supported this initiative by providing essential water services at two key points along the marathon route. These locations were meticulously chosen to guarantee participants had access to hydration throughout the race.

The JAAI Central Zone Conclave took place today, in the vibrant city of Dhanbad, bringing together esteemed alumni, patrons, and representatives to discuss the significance, activities, and mission of the Jesuit Alumni Associations of India (JAAI). The event was a resounding success, fostering meaningful conversations and outlining plans for the future.

Mr. Rajeev Talwar, the Vice President of JAAI from the Central Zone, eloquently explained the importance of JAAI and its various initiatives aimed at fostering collaboration among alumni. He emphasized the need to rope in more alumni to strengthen the network and extend the association's reach.

Rev. Fr. Bob Slattery SJ, the revered patron of JAAI, shared his insights on the inclusion of vernacular schools within the JAAI framework, emphasizing the importance of reaching out to diverse educational institutions and communities.

The Windsor Hotel in Patna witnessed a heartwarming reunion today as members of the SOXA members came together to celebrate their shared history. The event was marked by nostalgia, laughter, and the rekindling of old friendships.

Distinguished guests and members of SOXA from various walks of life converged at the Windsor Hotel for this special occasion. Attendees included the honourable President of Jesuit Alumni Association of India Mr. Neel Mani Rangesh, the President of SOXA Rev. Fr. Arul Doss SJ, Director General Income Tax (Investigation) Mr. Rahul Karna.

The reunion provided an opportunity for SOXA members to reminisce about their shared experiences, achievements, and the impact they have collectively made. It was a time for storytelling, laughter, and reconnecting with old friends, making it an evening to remember.

It is very happy and proud moment; our illustrious Jesuit alumnus Prof.R.Narayanaswamy former Professor of Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) who is my class-mate from Pre-university to B.Com from St.Joseph’s College (1976 Batch) has been appointed as the chairman of the high powered Committee constituted by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to study about – Expected Credit Loss (ECL) frame working for banks. A new green chapter was added today in the history of Loyola School, Jamshedpur, Tarumitra and Loyola Alumni Association.

Formation and orientation of Eco club, plantation & inception of bio diversity on 10 acres of land at Jesu Bhavan. Thank you Fr. Robert Athickal & Ms. Devopriya Dutta from Tarumitra, Patna for you guidance and support.

In the coming days, Students, Loyola Alumni and Loyola Jesuits society will develop this into a paradise for Eco spiritual pilgrimage and a place to celebrate Mother Earth.
