The Windsor Hotel in Patna witnessed a heartwarming reunion today as members of the SOXA members came together to celebrate their shared history. The event was marked by nostalgia, laughter, and the rekindling of old friendships.

Distinguished guests and members of SOXA from various walks of life converged at the Windsor Hotel for this special occasion. Attendees included the honourable President of Jesuit Alumni Association of India Mr. Neel Mani Rangesh, the President of SOXA Rev. Fr. Arul Doss SJ, Director General Income Tax (Investigation) Mr. Rahul Karna.

The reunion provided an opportunity for SOXA members to reminisce about their shared experiences, achievements, and the impact they have collectively made. It was a time for storytelling, laughter, and reconnecting with old friends, making it an evening to remember.

Rev Fr.Jerome D’ Souza had his collegiate education from St.Joseph’s College Trichy and he was first Indian to hold post of Rector and Principal of St.Joseph’s College, Trichy.

A new green chapter was added today in the history of Loyola School, Jamshedpur, Tarumitra and Loyola Alumni Association.

Formation and orientation of Eco club, plantation & inception of bio diversity on 10 acres of land at Jesu Bhavan. Thank you Fr. Robert Athickal & Ms. Devopriya Dutta from Tarumitra, Patna for you guidance and support.

In the coming days, Students, Loyola Alumni and Loyola Jesuits society will develop this into a paradise for Eco spiritual pilgrimage and a place to celebrate Mother Earth. Special thanks to Provincial Fr. Jerry Cutinha, Rector Fr. K M Joseph, Principal Fr. Vinod Fernandes and the Jamshedpur Jesuit Society.

St Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangalore, which is stepping into the 144 th year, launched today on 2nd October 2023, Gandhi Jayanti day, an innovative 4 months duration Diploma Course in "Integrated Agriculture and Organic Farming Methods" at the 164 year old District Prison, Mangalore.

This would be followed by other trades in self employment to help the prison inmates earn a dignified and decent living after their release from prison.

The Principal Rev Dr Praveen Martis SJ and Director of the St Aloysius College Alumni Association SACAA, in his address explained about the objectives and Course content. He was accompied by Dr Alwyn D'Sa Registrar and also SACAA Executive Committee member, Prof.Edmund Frank JAAI Vice President who is actively involved with prison activities since the last ten years and Mr Glavin Rodrigues, Course Coordinator. All are Alumni of St Aloysius College.

45 colleges , 1200 student participants in the Gujarat University 2 day cultural program, zonal and inter zonal, was privileged to be chief guest for the closing ceremony and prize distribution part and coincidently another Jesuit alum Ms Lavina Sinha IPS was the chief guest for the inauguration.

Always a pleasure to be part of such programs and share experiences of our alumni movement also. Goes a long way in establishing a connect with the various stakeholders on the field of education, sports, youth & culture.

Sahibganj Old Xaverians Association (SOXA), in collaboration with a nationwide blood donation campaign of the Jesuit Alumni Association of India (JAAI), organized a highly successful blood donation camp today at St. Xavier's School, Sahibganj. The event saw an impressive turnout of community members eager to contribute to this vital cause.

The primary objective of the blood donation camp was to address the critical need for blood and blood products in the region, while also promoting social responsibility. This initiative underscores the commitment of both SOXA and JAAI to make a positive impact on society.

Dr. Mukesh Kumar, a respected alumnus of ICSE 1994 with an MBBS degree and a distinguished medical career, graced the event as the Chief Guest. His presence added inspiration to the event, with Dr. Kumar emphasizing the importance of blood donation and sharing insights from his extensive medical experience.

Doranda Old Xaverians Association (DOX) the alumni association of St. Xavier's School, Doranda distributed 500 mosquito nets in RIMS, Sadar Hospital, Adim Jaati Seva Mandal, Premashray and Kishorenagar Outreach Society.

The nets were handed over to Director of RIMS and Civil Surgeon at Sadar Hospital.

In the coming days nets will also be distributed in Balashraya and Anita Girls School.
