Doranda Old Xaverians (DOX), the Alumni association of St. Xavier's School, Doranda organized a Blood donation camp at St. Xavier's School on 26th May, 2023.
41 units of blood were donated by Members and their friends. Special congratulations to the Batch of 2002 for bringing in more than 10 donors in the camp held today. The blood collected will go to the day care center of Sadar Hospital for the Kids suffering from Thalassemia.
We place on records our sincere gratitude to one of our Benefactors, Mr. Makarand Lele, an Alumnus of St. Vincent’s High School & Junior College, Pune, Batch of 1978, residing in UK and hails from Pune.
Makarand Lele’s short visit to Pune, caught the eyes of Fr. Francis Patekar SJ, Principal of St. Vincent’s High School, who without a blink of an eye recognised this great Philanthropist for his good deeds & Felicitated Makarand in the presence of Fr. Raja, SJ, Vice Principal & Mr. Santosh Naik, Supervisor.
Makarand till date has donated Rs. 10 Lakhs and has been a great influencer too.
He has donated towards School Fees for the poor, needy and deserving students of our school, the School Library, Medical Assistance and the Ignatian Year Housing Project.
To commemorate the esteemed Founder Principal, Rev. Fr. Roland Ghrilando SJ, the Sahibganj Old Xaverians Association organized a successful blood donation camp on May 17, 2023, coinciding with his birth anniversary. This gathering witnessed an inspiring number of dedicated participants who generously donated blood, exemplifying the virtues of selflessness and compassion, which are essential for saving lives.
The primary objective of the blood donation camp was to pay homage to the lasting legacy of Rev. Fr. Roland Ghrilando SJ, whose unwavering dedication and visionary leadership continue to inspire the school community. This gathering served as a tribute to his invaluable contributions while emphasizing the importance of extending support to those in need.

We are pleased to share that the Sahibganj Old Xaverians Association organized a reunion for our alumni at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata today, and it turned out to be a successful event. The reunion provided a wonderful opportunity for our alumni to reconnect with old friends and reminisce about their school days. The event was held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and was attended by a significant number of Xaverians from various batches.
Our alumni were overjoyed to catch up with their former classmates and teachers, share stories and experiences, and celebrate the bond we share as members of the Xaverian family. The event was filled with laughter, joy, and plenty of cherished memories as alumni shared their experiences and caught up with one another.
We also officially recognized a WhatsApp Group for Kolkata alumni, which is an excellent way for us to stay connected and continue our conversations beyond the reunion.

We proceeded to Loyola High School, Margao where we had an impromptu and informal meeting with a few of the Managing Committee Members of LESA.
Later we had a meeting in the evening at my place where Mr. Francis Xavier da Costa, Past President of JAAI WEST ZONE participated
It was a meaningful deliberation ranging from our role over the next three years and thereafter culminating in the National Congress at Goa.
Osteoporosis Camp was held at Loyola High School, Margao on Sunday, May 07, 2023. Prof Edmund Frank Vice President JAAI participated.
Fr Castellino Memorial Basketball Tournament was a success and a buzzed atmosphere. Senior ex students recalled the basketball court and atmosphere of yore.
11 teams took part in the tournament .
In the Girls Final Sharda Mandir got the better of Fatima Convent while in the Boys side never say die attitude of Loyola High School couldn't get through the rock solid Don Bosco school Panjim .
The knock out games were thrilling to say the least .

The Sahibganj Old Xaverians Association (SOXA) and St. Xavier's School Raiganj, which is a well-known institution belonging to the Dumka Raiganj Province of the Society of Jesus, have collaborated to form an alumni association in Raiganj. The main goal of this partnership is to establish a network of alumni who can support the school's growth, serve humanity, and provide assistance for its students' future endeavors.
During a recent visit to St. Xavier's School Raiganj with PCA Rev. Fr. Alban Minj SJ, the importance of establishing an alumni association was emphasized. SOXA members have generously offered to provide guidance and support in creating the association, drawing on their experience in forming and managing their own association. SOXA members will assist the school and its alumni in organizing alumni events.
On Thursday, April 29th, 2023, Sahibganj Old Xaverians Association (SOXA) conducted a dental camp for students of Class X at St. Xavier's School, Sahibganj with the objective of raising awareness about dental hygiene and educating the students about the importance of maintaining good oral health. The dental camp was conducted by three highly experienced alumni and qualified dentists - Dr. Manikant Mani, Dr. Aman Kumar, and Dr. Raman Kumar Chowdhury, along with a team of trained dental hygienists who provided dental check-ups, cleaning, and oral health education to the students.
During the camp, the students underwent a thorough dental check-up and received necessary treatment and advice on oral hygiene.
