The NJAAI Milan 2019 – the Jesuit Alumni Association of India (JAAI) North Zone Alumni/ae Congress commenced on the evening of 14th September 2019. It was hosted by St. Xavier’s Alumni Association and Jesuit Alumni Association of Patna at St. Xavier’s High School, Patna.

On 31st August 2019, Soxa members, namely, Fr. Hilary D'Souza, Principal St. Xavier's School, Sahibganj, Krishna Singh, Om Prakash, Arun Gupta, Amit Sinha, Dr. Devesh, Dr. Amitava Biswas and few others organised a tree plantation programme at the local government aided girls' school and even our school. The tree plantation programme was a great inspiration to the school girls and the Principal of the school, whose enthusiasm was unparallel in view of global warming affecting our Mother Earth. Awareness among students about importance of trees in our lives and environment was the message conveyed at the programme.
This was followed by a free eye screening and check up camp conducted by our alumnus and eye surgeon, Dr. Amitava Biswas and his team. 198 patients, which included our Class 4 students and poor people from neighbouring villages, had their eyes examined.

APX (Association of Past Xavierites , St Xavier’s High School Loyola Hall) played against the school team in the annual football match today morning on the school grounds. Witnessed by the students , management , staff and alumni the ‘young’ alumni team with an average age of 40 plus ( including a couple of them over 50 ) prevailed over the school team 1/0. The game consisted of two halves , 25 minutes each. This is a bonding exercise between the past and present , the bridge to a better today for a brighter tomorrow.
St Xaviers Alumni Association (SXAA), Patna organized the 2nd Shyama Prasad Memorial Inter-School Sit & Draw Painting Competition today at St Xavier's School, Patna in which more than 500 students from all the premier schools (26 in nos.) of Patna participated.
Yesterday, the painting Competition was organized by SXAA for all the students of St. Xavier's in which more than 2500 students participated.

St. Ignatius Alumni Association, Gumla, Jharkhand conducted a tree plantation drive on 25th August 2019.
To commemorate 32 years of uninterrupted free clinic. Loyola Alumni Association is organised free health checkup for students of Loyola Hindi School *TODAY* from 1 pm onwards in St. Jospeh’s Hall (above canteen)
Team of 21 doctors and 19 volunteers helped in checkup of 558 students. Eye, Dental. ENT, Gynaec and General physicians took part.
Jai LoyolaThe Jesuit Education Board has Administrators and Principals from Jesuit Schools in Bombay Province. The Board meets twice a year and has extensive discussions on various topics.
Fr Evarist Newnes, the Manager of St Michaels Marathi medium and the St Michaels English medium School at Manickpur, had attended the JAAI West Zone Congress held at Kolhapur on 10-12 May 2019. The Congress was conducted by Xesakop (St Xavier’s Ex-Students Association). He felt that the workshop conducted during the Congress should be presented to the Jesuit Education Board. This would also help increase awareness of JAAI West Zone Activities with the School Representatives.
The Being Responsible Workshop was held on 17 Aug 19 at St Mary’s High School ICSE, Mazgaon. There were close to 45 participants. The Jesuit Board, along with Fr Francis Swamy , Principal made very good arrangements and were good hosts.
In a thrilling JAAB Independence Day Football tournament 2019, St. Xaviers School Alumni Fort, Mumbai narrowly beat Holy Family Alumni Association B 2-1 in sudden death to lift the JAAB William Neelankavil rolling trophy 2019.
The matches were hosted by St. Stanislaus Ex-students Association (SSESA) at the schools AstroTurf grounds to celebrate our Independence Day.
Twelve teams from the Jesuit Bombay Province came together for this annual football tournament for the 8th year. The teams played their round-robin matches with great enthusiasm and skill. While there was great fellowship between players off the field, the serious intent of winning was never in doubt on the field.
In the first semifinal, Holy Family Alumni Association B narrowly beat St. Xaviers School Alumni B 3-2 in a thrilling match. In the second semifinal St. Xaviers School Alumni A beat St. Mary's ICSE Alumni B 3-1.
