Giving Without Counting the Cost (TEXAS)

A Heartfelt Initiative by a Group of Xavierites from the Batch of 1977
True gratitude often finds expression through meaningful action-and a remarkable group of Xavierites from the Batch of 1977 of St. Xavier's High School, Surat has done just that. Inspired by the values instilled in them during their formative years, they have embraced a noble mission: to give back to the very institution and individuals who helped shape their lives.
In recognition of the lifelong dedication of their former teachers, this group has, over the years, extended unwavering support to retired staff members. With quiet consistency, they have provided monthly financial assistance and stepped in during medical emergencies, offering help with compassion and dignity. Their care has brought not only material support but also a deep sense of respect and gratitude to those who once shaped so many young minds.
Recently, their generosity reached new heights with a contribution of Rs. 3 lakhs towards a scholarship fund-aimed at supporting deserving and underprivileged students. Through this initiative, they are helping to ensure that no child's education is held back due to financial constraints.
This selfless spirit-giving without counting the cost-beautifully reflects the Jesuit values that St. Xavier's has long stood for. It is a powerful testament to the enduring bond between Xavierites and their alma mater. We salute this group of former students for their humility, vision, and heartfelt service. They continue to inspire all of us by living out the true spirit of Xavier's.
