We are very happy to inform that we have reached our target of Rs 10lakhs towards funding the Samuel Kennedy Chemistry Lab at St Xavier's Shrirampur in memory of our late batchmate. We have around 68 plus contributors to the project.A truly combined effort.

In Memory of our classmate Samuel Kennedy who passed away on 3rd April 2023 our batch of 1982 contributed Rs 10lacs to Xavier's Shrirampur for the Chemistry lab to be named as "Samuel Kennedy Chemistry Lab"

Update So here's the story-

Our batch of 1982 was stunned with the untimely passing away of Kenny on 3rd April 2023. Kenny was a truly spirited person,keen to do something for society,infact the day he passed away,that very morning,Kenny in his role as President of his Rotary Chapter, had just dedicated a science Lab to a underprivileged school named Kilbil high school, in Vadarvadi,a slum almost in the heart of Pune

It is with profound sorrow and aching hearts that we bid farewell to Fr. Joseph Gauci Sacco, a priest who dedicated over five decades of his life to serving the Santals, the largest tribe in India. Fr. Gauci Sacco breathed his last on the 27th of June, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith, boundless compassion, and unyielding commitment to his calling.

Fr. Gauci Sacco was not only a priest but also a beacon of hope and solace for the Santal community. Hailing from Malta, he embraced his sacred duty and was ordained on that fateful day of March 19, 1966, at the College of St. Mary's, nestled amidst the majestic Himalayan mountains in Kurseong, India. From that moment forward, his life became an extraordinary journey of selfless service, walking hand in hand with the Santals, sharing the love and compassion of God.

APX ( Association of Past Xavierites, St. Xavier’s High School Loyola Hall Ahmedabad) celebrated World Environment Day on the school campus.

Shri Akhilesh kumar IRS , Shri Shravan Ram IRS, Joint commissioner Shri Parashmani Tripathi IRS, Deputy Commissioner CGST, Ahmedabad Zone were present along with Fr Francis Mcwan SJ the manager and APX Chairman, Principal Ms.Jasmine Jacob ( High School ) & Ms Laxmi ma’am ( in charge of the Primary ) school teachers and students also were present with the APX members.

The management, staff, students, alumni/ae & parents/benefactors are the stakeholders & collaborators, the foundation on which the institute flourishes.

As part of the diamond jubilee celebrations, St. Xavier's School, Anand, organized a reunion of past students. Nearly 500 former students from the institution had gathered to converse and relive their past school days.

Congratulations to Fr. Noel Parmar and his team members, who worked tirelessly to make this event a big success and unforgettable experience.

Doranda Old Xaverians (DOX), the Alumni association of St. Xavier's School, Doranda organized a Blood donation camp at St. Xavier's School on 26th May, 2023.

41 units of blood were donated by Members and their friends. Special congratulations to the Batch of 2002 for bringing in more than 10 donors in the camp held today. The blood collected will go to the day care center of Sadar Hospital for the Kids suffering from Thalassemia.

Makarand Lele’s short visit to Pune, caught the eyes of Fr. Francis Patekar SJ, Principal of St. Vincent’s High School, who without a blink of an eye recognised this great Philanthropist for his good deeds & Felicitated Makarand in the presence of Fr. Raja, SJ, Vice Principal & Mr. Santosh Naik, Supervisor.

Makarand till date has donated Rs. 10 Lakhs and has been a great influencer too.

He has donated towards School Fees for the poor, needy and deserving students of our school, the School Library, Medical Assistance and the Ignatian Year Housing Project.

We are pleased to share that the Sahibganj Old Xaverians Association organized a reunion for our alumni at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata today, and it turned out to be a successful event. The reunion provided a wonderful opportunity for our alumni to reconnect with old friends and reminisce about their school days. The event was held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and was attended by a significant number of Xaverians from various batches.

Our alumni were overjoyed to catch up with their former classmates and teachers, share stories and experiences, and celebrate the bond we share as members of the Xaverian family. The event was filled with laughter, joy, and plenty of cherished memories as alumni shared their experiences and caught up with one another.

We also officially recognized a WhatsApp Group for Kolkata alumni, which is an excellent way for us to stay connected and continue our conversations beyond the reunion.
