Nepalese Jesuit alumni were among those who summited Everest this season, reaching the peak at 8.27 AM, on May 22. Sameer Jung Thapa, Class of 1998, and Dawa Sherpa, Class of 2000, both studied at St Xavier’s School Jawalakhel.

Samir is a professional freelance photographer who has done extensive work for the World Wildlife Fund. Dawa is a professional mountaineer and director of a trekking agency who organizes much-needed clean-up expeditions at base camp, and on the trail to the summit. They unfurled the arms of Nepal’s Jesuit alumni association, the G.A.A., after reaching the summit.

St Xavier’s Gandhinagar commences it’s 50th Year celebrations. Hon’ble Governor of Gujarat Shri O P Kohli, Bishop of Gandhinagar and Provincial of Gujarat graced the occasion.

A crowd of more than 5000 attended the event. More than 500 Alumni registered for the event and around 600 attended. Great support of Fr Durai in realising these participation numbers.

 It was on the 10th of May on a sweltering evening when the merry band of North Pointers from St Josephs College ( School Dept) Darjeeling congregated together in the cool environs of The Saturday Club , Kolkata to spend a memorable occasion together among themselves , cutting across all barriers of seniority , age , caste and religion , a virtue synonymous with that rare true blue North Point ethos .

The highlight of the evening was to felicitate and honour their former teachers like Mr S.K Jha , Mrs Lekha Venkat and to also welcome the new North Point management like the Rector Fr K.L George S.J and Principal Fr Lawrence Manniar S.J . In attendance of the proceedings were Fr Felix Raj S.J , Vice Chancellor of St Xaviers University Rajarhat Campus , Kolkata.

On the occasion of the visit of the Jesuit Superior General Fr Artuo Sosa to the Jesuit Bombay Province a Magis Conclave followed by dinner was held on 3rd March 2019 at St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra in Mumbai India.

Several Schools and Colleges across India are run by the Fathers and Brothers of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), a religious congregation internationally known for their educational work.

#SwapTheStraw - a campaign by a student volunteer of Helping Hands Organisation (H2O), under the organisation's campaign #MeTheChange. #SwappingtheStraw for Bamboo or steel straws, was inaugurated by Adv.V. K. Prashanth, Worshipful Mayor and TN Seema, VC of Haritha Keralam Mission on 31st December 2018. This was supported by the Rotary Club of Kazhakuttam, Vyapari Associations and Thumba St. Xavier's College Alumni / ae Assiciation (Jesuit Alumni body).

It’s that time of the year again where Men meant for each other gear up to lend a hand to a faltering brother and lift up the lame and slow. The Twin Towers are open wide, once again, for the WINTER CAMP - 2019 for the underprivileged kids from around the area. St Joseph’s School (North Point), Darjeeling is all set with a whole month of activities for the unprivileged.

This has been an event the School organises every winter for the Society and the Darjeeling North Point School Alumni Association (DNPSAA) is actively involved. The first day of the camp witnessed a registration of 357 students from classes III to X. The numbers are expected to rise further in the next two days of registration and is expected to cross the maximum number of 650 students, which was of the last winter camp.
